Rich in tennis history, Taconnet guests are hitting the courts in many ways in the 2025 season. Taconnet has hired Jonathan Ball, a seasoned coaching professional, to provide group and individual instruction for all ages and skill levels. His coaching experience includes directing tennis programs at various private country clubs and competitive training facilities across the United States. He looks forward to providing an experience that is full of fun, instruction, and friendly competition. Originally from Maine, Jonathan resides in Florida in the winter months.
Along with tennis and pickleball, we are excited to announce that pop-tennis is being added to this summer’s schedule! The racquets facility on the island consists of three well-maintained Har-Tru tennis courts and one Har-Tru pickleball court. Guests are invited to join an introductory tennis round robin each Monday morning to meet other guests and players of similar skill levels. On Monday afternoons, a complimentary tennis clinic is held for our junior guests. During the week, Jonathan will offer adult and junior cardio tennis classes, private and group lessons, as well as clinics and special events, creating opportunities to play, learn, and connect with both new acquaintances and longtime friends. A QR code will be provided to guests prior to arrival at Taconnet, providing an overview of program offerings, as well as the opportunity to sign up for classes and events in advance.
