The entire Taconnet Family is looking forward to welcoming guests in 2022.

As we navigate our second season of operations with COVID-19 still present in our daily lives, our Board of Directors and managers are working diligently to provide as safe an environment as reasonably possible for all our guests and staff, while returning some traditions that guests can look forward to each season.

Taconnet is requiring up-to-date COVID-19 vaccinations for all guest and staff during the 2022 season. The Taconnet welcome packet will be sent to guests prior to their visit, along with a waiver document regarding risks that might be encountered on the island. These waivers will need to be returned with copies of COVID-19 vaccination cards for each person in the group. If a member of guest’s party is not yet eligible for a vaccine (under 5 years of age, as things currently stand), that individual must take a Rapid Antigen test 72 hours days prior to coming to the island and a negative result must be provided to the Taconnet Manager. We also ask that all guests and staff wear a mask or other face-covering in any public indoor spaces, regardless of vaccination status.

We will continue to follow guidance from the U.S. Center for Disease Control, State of Maine Center for Disease Control and the Maine Department of Health & Human Service and will adjust safety protocols as needed. Any changes will be communicated by email and the website.

Thank you again for your support and loyalty to as we navigate this challenging time.

Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

January 2022

We hope this message finds you, and your family and friends, well during this current phase of the pandemic. The Board and management team of Taconnet are working diligently to safely offer the full Taconnet experience.

For the 2022 season, we are excited to return to a seven-night-stay week from Saturday to Saturday. In addition, we will be moving back to three hot meals per day which will consist of a buffet breakfast, buffet lunch and a combination of family style and buffet dinners. We will continue to use the outdoor picnic tables which were so popular. Our goal is to reintroduce the services that have long been a tradition at Taconnet. To ensure that we do this safely and efficiently, we will continue to monitor updates from the appropriate government agencies and our licensing body - the Maine Department of Health and Human Services. We will use this information to modify our operations as necessary to offer you the best experience possible.

Please use the link on the Reservations page or give our manager, Anne Randall, a call at 1-800-588-7024 with any questions. After communicating with Anne, reservations will be confirmed upon the receipt of your $1,500 deposit (per cottage). Should we need to cancel due to Covid-19 restrictions, your deposit will be fully refunded. Otherwise, our standard cancellation policy will apply.

Like all of you, we look forward to getting back to some sense of normalcy and sharing time with our families and friends in the beautiful setting that is Taconnet on Great Pond. We especially look forward to creating new family memories with the age-old traditions of Taconnet.

Best wishes,
Greg White, President
