Grant Camp

Located on the southern shore of the island, the Grant camp offers the feeling of Taconnet in the old days with renovations that bring it into the modern era. Two shingled cottages are on the water, each with their own view, dock and canoe, flanked by trees and shrubs that enhance privacy. This is an ideal spot for guests vacationing together who would like to be near each other and have their own living space.

Grant Porch Here you’ll find a living room with vintage bamboo furniture, shelves of books and games, and a sink and counter area for making drinks, coffee, or snacks. There is a master bedroom with queen bed, two rooms off the living room that sleep three in single beds, and a bathroom with shower. Step outside and panoramic views of the lake invite you to spend hours on the wraparound porch.

Grant Deck is known for its spacious deck, a favorite for larger gatherings--and for relaxing on your own. Watch a spectacular sunset, listen to loons, finish that book, or nod off. Indoors, you'll enjoy a cheerful pine-paneled living room, a master bedroom with queen bed, a kitchen, and a bathroom with shower. There is also a small sleep loft (for older children), and a pullout couch in the living room.

The Tennis cabin behind the Deck cabin can also sleep members of the group renting the main cabins. There are two beds (a double and a twin) with a bathroom.
